The Benefits of Number Tracing

Number tracing can be a helpful tool as students work on fine motor skills and improve coordination. Students need a lot of practice in tracing as they learn how to make the pencil go where they want it. Number formation is established as neural pathways are established in the brain. Basically, children need to write the numbers over and over until it is imprinted in their brain.

Wood hydration

Every once in a while, you may want to moisturize wooden toys when it starts to look dry or dull. Coconut oil, olive oil or flax seed oil does the trick!

Use sparingly and apply with a washcloth or rag. If there are oily bits left, wipe them away! Then let it dry.

Wood is an environmentally friendly material, so wooden toys can be affected by environmental changes.

Be careful not to leave toys outside overnight or for long periods of time. Heat, sun and humidity can affect the appearance and shape of wooden toys, which can cause them to crack or swell.

How do clean wooden toys?

We recommend cleaning toys with a soap and water solution or a water solution with apple cider vinegar. Vinegar has disinfectant properties. This solution will keep your wooden toys germ-free, providing safety for your child.

Be sure to avoid bleach, detergents or abrasive cleaners; these solutions will dry the wood and cause cracks over time.

Do not immerse in water.
