At Selecta, it is clear from the company name that it is not just an ordinary toy that is produced there. Because “Selecta” means “the chosen one”. It was important to the company founders Tilmann Förtsch and Günther Menzel right from the start to produce toys that support children's development. They managed to do that too! Selecta wooden toys predominantly use local wood from certified forestry and production also takes place in Germany. All wood waste is also used as fuel for the company's entire heating needs.
